In March 2015 I attended a wedding photography workshop in London that was hosted by Chris Chambers. Chris is a Pontefract based West Yorkshire Wedding Photographer and in my opinion the best there is. His wedding photographs are in a league of their own and his knowledge of photography and lighting techniques is amazing.
I had previously attended a couple of workshops with Chris and on each occasion the information gained was fresh and I left the day with new techniques and ideas ready to put into practice at weddings to improve my own work. When I found out that Chris was running the two day London Workshop, although a long way to travel, I knew it would be well worth attending.
On the first day, late afternoon, we met as a group of ten students, Chris and the model Bride and Groom, Kelly and Mark. After a brief introduction we set off to start capturing some low light images under the guidance of Chris.
Throughout the evening we used multiple locations and techniques and produced some truly stunning Wedding Photographs before returning back to our hotel absolutely shattered gone midnight!

The First location was by the London Eye. As kelly walked through the crowds they started clapping and cheering thinking they were a real bride and groom. |

On day two we met late morning at the foot of Tower Bridge and again used unique locations throughout the day shooting in daylight. Kelly and Mark were brilliant and were prepared to try anything. At one point Mark got his feet wet in the Thames!
We moved around London shooting all day and the workshop ended before dark.

Throughout both days Chris ran the workshop in a controlled and patient manor. I soon realised that there was a mixed level of experience in attendance on the workshop and Chris made sure everyone understood the techniques of each shot and everyone gained from the workshop. For myself I left feeling confident that I can use all the methods taught by Chris at weddings and my work has improved because of this.
If anyone is thinking of attending one of Chris Chambers Training Workshops I would highly recommend you do so. As a Wedding Photographer in Leeds, West Yorkshire I feel that I am always learning and looking for new ideas and techniques to make my wedding photographs stand out from the crowd and give them that 'WOW' factor. Attending one of Chris Chambers workshops really helped me achieve this, my business has moved onto another level and bookings have increased.
